The BRS Sisterhood is a social and fundraising arm of our synagogue. Under Co-Presidents Sara Schandelson and Bina Asher, we endeavor to fill our calendar with a variety of programs to meet the needs of our membership. In past years our fundraising has allowed us to donate to important programs such as Tomchei Shabbos, renovating the playground, new kitchen supplies, and bathroom refurbishment. Sisterhood is currently fundraising for a new kitchen.
Our biggest program of the year revolves around Purim. A generous basket is assembled by Sisterhood for all members as a way of fulfilling the mitzvah of Mishloach Manot. The funds raised from this program helped feed our needy families for Passover. With your enthusiasm, we raised over $25,000 this past year.
